Since entering recovery 22 months ago, I’ve come to realise how transformative those early days were—not just for me, but for those I found myself supporting along the way. Even in my own healing, I felt a strong pull to help others who were walking the same path. So, when the opportunity to take a recovery coach course came up, I didn’t hesitate. I knew instantly that I wanted to volunteer and give back.
“Becoming a qualified Recovery Coach has not only strengthened my own journey—it’s given me a renewed sense of purpose. Helping others find hope and direction has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Volunteering with Supporting Lives, West Sussex, has inspired me greatly, and I’ve seen firsthand how powerful peer support can be.”
This isn’t just a chapter—it’s my long-term ambition. I’m committed to continuing this work, to being a source of encouragement, and to helping others believe that change is possible. Recovery gave me my life back. Now, I’m using it to help others reclaim theirs.
