I started worked with Supporting Lives in February 2026. Between 2022 and 2023, I volunteered as a Recovery Coach with Emerging Futures, where I supported individuals entering and sustaining recovery from substance misuse. From 2024 to 2025, I also worked part-time as an Associate Lecturer at the University of Chichester, teaching mathematics.
In 2024, I achieved a long-term personal goal by completing an MSc in Mathematics with the Open University. I began the programme in 2021 while living in supported housing for individuals experiencing homelessness and substance misuse, an experience that strongly shaped both my personal and professional journey.
Having lived experience of homelessness and substance misuse, I am deeply passionate about supporting others to achieve stability, rebuild confidence, and work towards meaningful and sustainable change in their lives. My own recovery was made possible through the support of others, and I am motivated to give back by offering encouragement, understanding, and practical support to those on their own recovery journeys.
Outside of work, I enjoy walking and spending time in nature, with a growing interest in birdwatching. I occasionally play chess and have recently started learning the ancient board game Go. I am also a keen music lover and have spent the past five years teaching myself fingerstyle guitar, alongside regularly attending classical music events such as the BBC Proms. In addition, I follow Portsmouth FC and enjoy watching their matches—particularly on the rare occasions they win.
