Carrieanne Harwood

Housing Support Worker

I have extensive experience working within the health and social care sector, supporting service users with dementia, disabilities, and special educational needs.

My background includes working as an Independent Living Advisor, promoting independence in care provision through direct payments, and as a Housing Support Worker in the drug and alcohol sector. In these roles, I facilitated recovery groups, provided one-to-one keywork, and supported individuals in moving on to independent living.

I hold Level 2 qualifications in Counselling Skills and Mental Health First Aid. My approach is grounded in a successful model of holistic recovery, motivating clients to embrace positive change and rediscover themselves.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in nature, walking, photography, crafting, and mixed media art. I also have a great love for animals, especially cats. I share my home with two—Tiggy, who is 18, and Luna, who is just 9 months old.

A fun fact about me: my claim to fame is that I knew Lewis Hamilton when he was 12 and racing karts!
