Supported Living Accommodation
Stages 1 and 2
In Northumberland we provide more than 65 bed spaces across 19 properties based in Lynmouth, Ashington, Blyth, Bedlington and Newcastle upon Tyne.
In South Shields we provide 50 bed spaces across 4 properties located in Beach Road with each unit catering for the differing needs of our residents.
Stage 1
Supported Living Accommodation
Stage 1 supported living accommodation properties are also designated as our administration hubs, offering residents with initial assessment, induction, co-produced support, planning and safety management services. All rooms are single occupancy, finished to a high standard and have shared kitchen and bathroom facilities. We provide 24-hour staffing and CCTV security in all Stage 1 properties.
Stage 2
Supported Living Accommodation
Stage 2 supported living accommodation properties offer residents the opportunity to take the next step towards independent living within smaller premises (typically 3/4-bedroom houses). Residents are allocated their own room and share kitchen and bathroom facilities. Staff support remains in place as does access to 24-hour call-out services.
Other services offered at our units include:
- Wi-fi access
- Meals
- Cleaning and laundry facilities
Referrals
If you have someone you care for, or work with, that could benefit from our services please get in contact to make a referral, using our easy to complete online form, and a member of the assessment team staff will get straight back to you.
Stage 3
Charter Recovery Housing
We encourage residents to live independently, free from the negative cycles of homelessness and addiction. When our residents are ready, we provide a next stage referral pathway to Charter Recovery Housing, part of the Supporting Lives group. These properties require residents to be stable on any prescribed medication and to maintain abstinence from any illicit substances. Situated in Blyth, Newcastle and Gateshead, recovery housing offers a mutually therapeutic environment with a skills academy where the focus is on sustaining progress and taking the next steps into employment, training education and volunteering (ETEV).
