Lisa began working for Supporting Lives in December 2024. She worked in care homes for 17 years and worked her way up from Carer to Assistant Practitioner and then Deputy Manager. Lisa left the health and social care sector to join the drug and alcohol team in HMP Northumberland working for the non-clinical Drug and Alcohol Recovery Team (DART).
Lisa has a Level 5 Diploma in Adult and Younger Person Leadership and Management. She has completed the SMART recovery group facilitator training. Lisa is qualified in auricular acupuncture specifically to help treat drug and alcohol addiction, anxiety and depression.
“I am passionate about recovery and supporting individuals with addiction, ensuring they get the support and help they need. I am a great believer in second chances and seeing the best in individuals. Knowing you can make a difference to even one person’s life brings satisfaction to the role.”
In her spare time Lisa likes to spend time with her 3 children and her family, going out for walks and reading.
